Yoojin joined 22News WWLP in January 2012 as a multi-platform journalist.
She is reporting, shooting, producing, writing and editing at the #1 station in western Massachusetts.
Before moving to the Springfield area, Yoojin worked as Web Coordinator for the Martha’s Vineyard Times. She brainstormed story ideas, produced and edited video stories, hosted MV Times Weekly Update news wraps, updated the website and managed the Times social media. She was also a columnist and a reporter.
On the Vineyard, Yoojin was the only video journalist who delivered breaking news, arts and entertainment stories and event previews, and during her time there, she also had an opportunity to work with the White House Press Pool during the First Family’s vacation.
Yoojin graduated from Boston University in May 2011 with two degrees, Broadcast Journalism and International Relations.
Before starting her first job at the MV times, Yoojin freelanced for Neighborhood Network News in Boston, BUTV10, AOL Patch and Brookline.com. She interned at CBS Boston, KRLD 1080 in Dallas and ETV Media Group in London.
Yoojin edits with AVID, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. She also knows the linear edit system. She can use DV tape or SD card high-definition cameras. For newscast production, Yoojin is familiar with ENPS and iNews, but she can learn to use any new program or equipment very quickly.
In Boston, Yoojin covered the 2010 Massachusetts gubernatorial election, Boston Book Festival, health issues regarding bed bug infestation and policy issues including the new body scanners at Logan Airport and immigration restriction.
